It's the Australian Men's Olympic Swimming team for the Beijing Olympics, 2008. Thye're protesting the choice of a full body suit as the official uniform instead of the classic Speedos aka budgie smugglers. SourceA swimming costume choice that doesn't flatter when worn in very cold water. And not great on men with large stomachs and assorted flab - but then, what is?

Jessy: Where are you from? I actually didn't stay till the end of the parade, though the last float was from a St. Louis lesbian bar called Novaks, they had THE largest float there, it was really cool. Between my girlfriend, mother-in-law and I we had at least 20 beads and I got a flag so that was very cool out of the deal. Now I'm just suffering...I get to be pickled tonight because it's so bad (Apple Cider Vinegar on sunburns, it works better than anything else but apparently the stinging pain might kill me)
It's ok Jenny. And thanks for the well wishing, we had a blast. The house is amazing, we're working on getting all the furniture and the window stuff done, we're actually moving in on Thursday, we get out mattress tomorrow and a bunch of temporary furniture since the rest of it is going to be custom done, it's gonna take like...8 weeks to get everything.

Temperatures of over 30 degrees? You poor things. </sarcasm>
Seriously hot weather for days on end is the pits, especially when you can't sleep.
It was 2 degrees here last night and everyone's pregnant doging. I just hope I get to wear all my scarves before the 'winter' weather is over.
Edit
of course you gotta love the obscenity filter - and you'll have to guess what 'pregnant doging' is

Here we are again ladies and gentlemen....
*sigh*
What was supposed to be a good and easy day turned from one hell to the next. Kristy started out the morning with a slight case of a stomach problem, and then from there it's like things went down hill. Walking out to the car was hard, dealing with people was pissy and out to the doctor we went. It was supposed to be that we went to the doctor, made a run to mom's to pick up a few things, dropped off bills and then went for food. GOD I wish the plans worked out, just once.
What wound up happening was a hurry up and wait at the doctor's office, getting back around 5:20pm only to have her oxygen levels tested almost immediately, she was back to the low numbers and they called an ambulence for her and shipped her back to the same hospital we thought we were rid of. After close to 8 hours in the Emergency Room she was moved up to the sixth floor and put into her own private room.
We're back to this hell again.
On the bright side we're in the house. On the downside....now there's unpacking to do and it's going to be just me, the animals and mom for a while.
*sigh*
They're anticipating keeping her for several days because the IV antibiotics work better than the oral.
