The BIG SCREEN!!!!! I thought it was on TV! That's only 5-6 hours away!!! (driving). Of course, I'm working. If I didn't value being employed I'd be on the road right now. Gigi, want to take a turn behind the wheel?

wouldn't that be groovy?! Just a few weeks off for me! How about I pick you up then and we request a re-screening?

There are so many wonderful things about this film...personally I love that Hans takes on a completely different persona and energy level in this film...some favorite moments talked about on this board are the moment he meets his idol in the baths...how funny for him to be playing the adoring fan...makes you wonder what he drew on for inspiration...the part where he's waiting outside in the rain and how he jumps up and down and giggles when she comes to the window...and I was very impressed with the imitation of a virtuoso violinist's movements. That must have been extremely difficult to do, though I was distracted by the fact that it wasn't real. Hearing the notes and having them not match up to actual finger and bow movements is hard for me to watch.

I agree, that is so cute!! everytime I watch these parts I'm like "awwwww" ;D Or when he says "Can I please have your autograph" hihi great! When that woman comes with her towel, hitting him. so funny. I thought Hans has learnd to play the violin for this film? hm but ofcourse he wasn't able to play all these difficult parts. But it doesnt look really bad imo. I want to learn to play the violin as well ;D

I like the bit when they're kissing and Sophie's husband comes into the room.
And OK it's cheesy but I get sucked in everytime at that final concert.. The swelling of the trumpets, David makes a dash for the car, the tears rolling down her cheeks, Jeno looks up to see David arrive (Like you actually see the people in the gallery), those nasty nazi guys The drama! The emotion! Ah heady stuff
Might be time for another viewing

the end makes me cry everytime I watch it So sad.. I prefere the beginning, because it's funny . Ah another cute moment. When he came to her concert and dropped a petal on the piano. She's searching him and he starts to clap his hands. The way he looks there great!

The emotion! Ah heady stuff I tottally agree!!! For me, the movie stops there. I can't watch it any further than that. David bursts through the door, Jeno sees him, Sophie sees him then looks at Jeno, they all smile. END OF MOVIE! I also like the part at the auditions when Jeno and David laugh because Viegel quits as a judge, and when Jeno is starting to fit in and they're all jogging and rowing. Also when Jeno and David play thier violins past lights out all over the school! ;D Whenever Jeno and Sophie kiss, you actually feel like they mean it. Most movies there's no feelings attatched to it, but this one, ahh. LOL And every part previously mentioned. ;D I just love this movie! Its my favorite. And I don't mean just favorite Hans movie, I mean favorite favorite movie. Ever.

How could I have forgotten the duelling violins scene- one of the all-time greats.
I do agree that the movie might as well end for me at the concert and I usually end it there
I agree with Jeno with some of the technical violin-playing detaills, though Lee Williams looks far worse, but it doesn't bug me at all (Unlike the horseriding where I'm always yelling "Get your hands done" just like my riding instructor would have)
And I have to disagree with you Sonic Frost about the Jeno/Sophie chemistry. As I've mentioned elsewhere on these boards, and I don't think I'm alone here, itis a contender for "Least Chemistry"

Are there any Hans fans in New Zealand? Maybe not now..... Rialto Channel will be screening "Canone Inverso" on several occasions in June. I guess it's a payTV channel? After it's screened, things may well change! Welcome Kiwis.

basically -- though it wasn't complete when I took a quick look. His voice-over talent was yuck, but Sophie's was spot on!
